How do I create a new screen layout?

To create a new screen layout:

1. Go to Webplayer → Screen Layouts

2. Click New Screen Layout

3. Enter a layout name

4. Select the orientation (Portrait or Landscape)

5. Add and configure frames

6. Click Save

A confirmation message will appear once the layout is successfully created.

What is a frame in a screen layout?

A frame is a defined area within a screen layout where content is displayed. Each frame has:

• A name

• Optional tag

• X and Y starting coordinates

• Width and height

• Z-index (layer order)

Multiple frames can be added to a single layout.

How many frames can I add to a layout?

You can add as many frames as needed, as long as they fit within the screen’s resolution and do not overlap unintentionally.

Why is screen orientation important?

The selected orientation (Portrait or Landscape) must match the physical orientation of the player’s screen. Incorrect orientation can result in misaligned or incorrectly rendered content.

How do I assign a screen layout to a player?

From the Screen Layouts section:

When is a placeholder shown on a player?

A placeholder is shown when:

• No active campaign is available

• A campaign has reached its daily impression limit

• Delivery conditions prevent a campaign from being displayed

How do I assign a placeholder to a network?

To assign a placeholder:

1. Go to Webplayer → Placeholders

2. Select the desired network

3. Click the plus (+) icon

4. Choose an existing placeholder or upload a new one

5. Click Save to confirm

After saving, the placeholder becomes active for that network.

Can I upload a new placeholder creative?

Yes. If no suitable placeholder exists, you can upload a new one by:

• Clicking Upload New Placeholder

• Selecting a file from your computer

• Reviewing format and specification requirements

• Saving the creative once uploaded

A success notification confirms the upload.

Can I preview or edit placeholders?

Yes. For each placeholder creative, you can:

• Preview the content

• Edit details

• Remove the creative if no longer needed

What formats are supported for placeholders?

Supported formats and specifications are displayed during the upload process. Always review these requirements before uploading to avoid playback issues.

Why is placeholder resolution important?

The placeholder’s resolution must match the screen resolution of players in the network. Mismatched resolutions can lead to incorrect scaling, black borders, or playback failures.
