Overview
Placeholders act as fallback content for your players. Whenever an active campaign is not displayed on a player—such as when it has reached its daily impression limit—the placeholder is shown instead. This ensures that the screen never remains blank and continues to display content.
Placeholders are configured at the Network level. Once a placeholder is assigned to a network, all players within that network can automatically display it whenever no campaign is available.
Accessing the Placeholders Interface
To create or manage placeholders:
Navigate to Webplayer in the main menu.
Select Placeholders.
This opens the Placeholders management screen.
Creating a Placeholder
Step 1: Select a Network
Locate the network for which you want to add a placeholder.
Use the search bar to quickly find the desired network.
Step 2: Add a Placeholder
Clicking the plus icon opens the option to add a new placeholder to the selected network.
You will be presented with a list of available placeholders that match the screen resolution of the players in that network.
Step 3: Upload a New Placeholder (Optional)
If you do not want to use an existing placeholder, you can upload a new one:
Click Upload New Placeholder.
Select the file from your computer.
Review the supported formats and specifications displayed on the screen.
Once the upload is complete, a success notification will appear.
You can also simply upload one from your computer by clicking the Upload New Placeholder button.
Here information about the formats are shown.
Step 4: Save the Placeholder
Click SAVE to confirm the placeholder selection for the network.
Then, click the second SAVE button to save the creative to the placeholder.
After saving, the placeholder becomes active and will be displayed whenever no campaign is available on the players within that network.
Note: For each creative, you can also preview, edit or remove it.
✅ Tip
Always ensure that your placeholder’s resolution matches the screen resolution of the players in the network. This guarantees proper display and avoids playback issues.
