What is Floating CPM?
Floating CPM is a new deal type in MyAdBooker that automatically adjusts the CPM for each screen based on its real-time occupancy.
In other words, the price per impression floats up or down depending on how busy a screen currently is.
When occupancy is high, the deal floor price increases — valuable screens cost more.
When occupancy is low, the deal floor price decreases — less-active screens become cheaper and more attractive to buyers.
This creates a flexible pricing system that balances demand and optimizes yield across your network.
How It Works
Each Floating CPM deal defines a minimum and maximum occupancy range and calculates tiered floor prices between them.
When a bid request comes in, MyAdBooker looks at the screen’s current occupancy and applies the corresponding floor price automatically — all in real time.
Even on low-occupancy screens, first-price auction logic still applies: higher bidding campaigns can win regardless of the floor.
Setting Up a Floating CPM Deal
When creating or editing a Deal in MyAdBooker:
Go to Auction Type and select Floating CPM.
Fill in the following mandatory fields:
Min. Occupancy (%) – where pricing starts to rise.
Max. Occupancy (%) – where pricing caps.
Step (%) – defines the width of each occupancy range (1–50 %).
Min. Floor (€) – floor price at or below the minimum occupancy.
Max. Floor (€) – floor price at or above the maximum occupancy.
As you enter values, a graph appears showing how floor prices adjust with occupancy in real time.
X-axis: Occupancy (0–100 %)
Y-axis: Floor Price (€)
Validate inputs:
Min < Max
Step between 1 – 50 %
Prices show two decimal places
Save your changes and you’re ready to go — Floating CPM will now dynamically update pricing per screen as audience levels change.
Why Use Floating CPM?
Expected outcomes:
Better network coverage and balance
Reduced revenue loss on over-occupied screens
More competitive and flexible pricing for buyers
Higher overall network yield
By reacting to real-time occupancy, Floating CPM makes your inventory more dynamic, transparent, and profitable.
